Meet bandini, a trio based in San Rafael, California. They blend catchy piano and guitar pop with a bit of Americana, serving up original songs that mix love, loss, and a dash of dark humor.
Influenced by the likes of Ben Folds, Ed Harcourt, The Cure, Blur, Pulp, and Father John Misty, they’ve dropped three albums in the last five years! Their 2020 release, “Gone To Hell, San Rafael,” tells a wild love story during a zombie apocalypse in Marin County, and their 2022 album, “I Was The Leader of A Cult,” gives us a peek into the lives of various cult leaders and members through some killer tracks.
Their latest album, “Everyone Around Us Is Falling Apart,” dives into the anxieties that accompany all good midlife crisises and was released at end of 2024.
The band features Simon Phipps on vocals, guitar, and piano, Kevin Kalahiki on bass and Jason Gooch on drums and backing vocals.
